History
Founder
The headquarters of the Solar unit is located in Navi Mumbai. As part of the Solar Initiative is to develop and dependence offer a range of products based on solar energy. Important events
Team Reliance completed and implemented solar electrification program width to the community and the villages in Maharashtra 2007-2008 also in a period of three months. The project was to provide illumination of more than 14,000 households spread over 84 villages in the districts of Nandurbar, Thane, Dhule, Amravati, Nashik, Raigad, Kolhapur and Chandrapur.
In 2008, Reliance Industries announced it would establish its first solar power project of 5 MW capacity at Khimsar in Nagaur district of Rajasthan. A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Director General of Rajasthan Vidyut Vitran Corporation and chairman of Reliance Solar for the purchase of electricity by the government of Rajasthan for 10 years September 16, 2008.
Reliance Group has won a prize solar by implementing best stand opularization PV off-grid rural areas in an exhibition at the 18th International Photovoltaic Science and Engineering Conference and Exhibition was held at Science City, Kolkata. The exhibition took place from 19 to 23 January 2009. The conference brought together over 600 participants, while 57 Indian and international companies participated in the exhibition.
