I heard all the warnings about buying old mobile homes, but what a well-maintained, with upgrades?
I found a 1977 Marlette. Updates: roof sheathing 5 / 08. Four service 5 / 08, monthly change filters, digital thermostats installed 5 / 08. New carpet everywhere (including the porch). More new businesses woodshed electricity. Fully breakers days at home. Updated plumbing in the kitchen and bathroom. new tile in the kitchen and bathroom. new cabinets and countertops. Digital gas cooker Magic Chef / oven, refrigerator, Kenmore, Maytag Dishwasher Jet quiet digital, microwave Sharp and waste disposal. Bathroom has new vanity, cabinets and accessories. Digital Kenmore washer and dryer. Both rooms have ceiling fans. Home watch Central. It is an agreement of $ 7,999? What questions should I ask the seller? Thanks for any help.
Indeed, it seems a little more money for me, no offense. I lived in a little mobile and if you need an affordable place to live, I think is a workable agreement. Not all improvements have something to do with mobile, however. One or two issues most important to you, would be the plumbing and electrical service, beyond cosmetics. If I was doing some research I have investigated these two issues, in particular the content of cable used. Also check the roof carefully. Ever painted? Can you determine if a color? signs of inflammation of the roofing material, paint? In what state the window? What is the age of the unit AC? Is there heating? Is there access around the pipe to check the floor for MDF still leaks? Can you get underneath to check the insulation, if any, or repairing any floor covering? What is the state all the doors? And you can detect if the cargo is intact? Can you identify weaknesses on the ground when pushed down, especially around doors and windows? Can you check inside the perimeter to check for separations? IE: one day you can see the hand? Are all the walls right? Not set in or out? The sloping roof panels / release? I currently live in, in a park, has 84. I remodeled everything myself, but did nothing to increase the value. It was just updated and can be easier to sell. I paid 7K 05 and passive value continues to decline, while my taxes are still the same. The last stop value is 3 K. You can also get more information on the owners insurance. INS Many companies do not mobile. Of course, many lenders do not bother much. If it were me, and I OK with the location, 8 K is probably a fair price, but not a negotiation exceptional. Be realistic. Could my phone line with gold, but still a 25-year-Mobile Homes. Steven Wolf Just my two "sense" Added thought. Some of us could not afford more than one mobile no offense to those who hate Mobil. Beyond that any person who has the money, and 30 years to pay for a house to spend more money I pay tribute.
